Move in day

Today our school opened at 9 a.m (2 a.m. your time) so Sam and I decided to get an early start and go right away in the morning.  It was a good thing we did too.  The street maps in Italy look like Sam had a good time scribbling on a white piece of paper.  So, I dont want to get ahead of myself but it doesnt seem like I will be gaining 20 pounds like I had anticipated.  Today I literally walked from 9 in the morning till 11:00 at night with a few rests in between.

I decided to not bring my big/nice camera out and about until I have learned how to use it. Also I am still afraid I will drop it or something so I have been bringing my little one and have taken a lot of pictures. But, unfortunatly I forgot my camera in Sam's bag so I cant do it tonight. I promise tomorrow I will put pictures on. If you want to get a sneak peak I am going to tag myself in pictures on facebook so you can see some of what I have been doing the last couple of days.

I was sad today when I realized how much the pictures do not do this gorgeous city justice.  I would have to say that so far the Duomo is my favorite building.  I live about 5 minutes away from it and make it a personal goal to walk pass it every day.  I have seen big buildings before and I have seen intricate pieces of art but, never the two put together.  It is also possible to climb to the very top so since I dont have plans for tomorrow I am hoping to get in a good butt workout and make the climb.

Sam and I walked around in the afternoon becuase we felt like getting a glass of wine.  Instead we found a happy hour where the strongbow was half price.  We sat down and I taught him how to play euchure.  It has been so great to have someone here that can make me feel at home.  Also, I met my roomates today and they were all great which was a big relief. Well, at least two of them are normal the one is questionable but i figure I am pretty questionable too so I am trying not to judge. Everything could not be going better and I feel truly blessed for getting this experiene. Thanks to everyone that helped out. Love you all. Night
